BRANDED DOCUMENTARY: CONTIKI
The global travel brand, Contiki, approached 2113 to produce a special documentary project about Matariki for their large and varied international audience. For those who may not know, Matariki is the Māori name for the winter solstice, and a cluster of stars which rises in midwinter in Aotearoa New Zealand, heralding the start of a new year. The documentary tells the story of Ngamako, a young Māori woman, as she lead a key Matariki celebration for her iwi (tribe).
Special thank you to Ngāti Mahuta for granting us permission to film and share this story.
